Microsoft announced the launch of its Digital Marketing Center where it is accepting new participants. This platform is designed to help small and medium sized businesses to manage their campaigns across multiple networks from a single interface. It includes the management of organic social media and paid search and social media campaigns across Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Instagram as well as Twitter. All of these can be managed from a single user interface.
Microsoft’s experimental project lab called Microsoft Garage – takes up projects that are later turned into product offerings. This Marketing Center was a part of this experimental lab.
Fully AI powered
Microsoft’s Digital Marketing Center is similar to Google’s Smart Campaigns and aims to simplify the campaign setup and management. This will make the lives of SMBs very easy and enable them to use AI to power ad keywords and audience targeting by bidding.
Unlike Smart Campaigns, the Digital Marketing Center allows advertisers to choose to build their own ads and use automated ad copy or to modify using auto suggestions. The budgets for the ads are automatically adjusted and optimized across the channels and platforms.
Organic Social Management
The Digital Marketing Center allows users to create, schedule and publish posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for upto 10 profiles from the Social Dashboard. It also has a feature for the social Inbox where users can reply, like and direct message to the Users on social media platforms
The product also has a Reports section where users can check the overall performance of their Social Media Campaigns at a glance.
This is an interesting move that goes beyond one brand. It is an all-inclusive approach and will definitely help solve some of the pain points SMB marketers. It is also said that Microsoft might charge for the product in the future – but, for now, the beta version of this product is open for testing in the U.S. – for business only.
